244.5 Miles Left!

Last night I crossed underneath I94 into Delafield! And in a few more days I’ll reach the shores of Lake Michigan…by foot. Technically I’ll be there tonight since we’re moving to my brother’s in Sheboygan. Tomorrow Eric and Viv fly home to Seattle and I’ll push through the rest of the trail with much longer days. The goal is to finish by next Saturday or Sunday with enough time to make it home for Thanksgiving. SOON.

Moments before passing underneath I94.

Lapham Peak’s 45-foot observation tower. I was hoping to make it here before sunset but missed it by 30mins.

I missed the sunset but I still caught a glow.

I can’t unsee a ninja turtle. I also can’t wait to read Turning to Stone by Marcia Bjornerud on the drive home.

Resting and reflecting after reaching the 900 mile mark.
